Good people of Edinburgh! Are you tired of hearing about young whippernsappers playing in bands who couldn't spot a tune if it slapped them in the face? Does the very sound of Lilly Allen make you want to drown yourself in the nearest duck pond? Don't you long for a band with some gentlemanly conduct and a knack for a killer groove? Then fear no longer, for as you read this, one band are already beating a path to this fair city to save you from the predictability and drudgery of the modern music scene. They are called SR Gents, and they have no time for trivialities. They played their first gig at Fringe Sunday two years ago, and have been leaving crowds slack-jawed across this green and pleasant land ever since. What do they sound like, I hear you cry. The answer to that is Edith Piaf on steroids. Make of that what you will.
